Background
Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (HVS) is a joint venture between Hyundai Group (South Korea) and Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (SBIC) established in 1996, specializing in repairing and building fields, offshore vessels and steel processing.
HVS has about 100 hectares of land area and 172.5 hectares of sea surface with the latest technology and equipment and more than 3500 skilled workers, including 80 Korean experts with high level of skill and ability management skills to make HVS the world’s leading shipyard.
HVS has been successful in converting to building new ships, focusing on a variety of cargo ships with a variety of loads with technical support and supplies from parent company Hyundai Mipo Dockyard. Although HVS has just started building in a short time, HVS has also affirmed its position and reputation through the delivery of good quality ships on time.
