Background

Nghi Son Petrochemical Refinery Complex was built on an area of ​​400 hectares at Nghi Son Economic Zone, Thanh Hoa Province. The project is operated by Nghi Son Petrochemical Company (NSRP), Idemitsu Kosan (35.1%), Kuwait Petroleum International (35.1%), Vietnam Petrolimex (25.0%) and Mitsui Chemicals (4.8%). This joint venture was established in April 2008. The main construction items were started in July 2013. It is expected to put into operation in mid-2017. The project has a total investment of more than $9 billion, the total capacity when put into operation is estimated at 200,000 barrels/day, equivalent to about 10 million tons of crude oil/year. Diversified petrochemical products include LPG, unleaded gasoline RON 92, RON 95, diesel fuel, jet fuel, benzene, sulfur and many other products. In which the largest output belongs to high-class diesel fuel (2,204 thousand tons/year), ordinary diesel fuel (1,470 thousand tons / year), gasoline RON 92 and RON 95 (1,153 thousand tons/year).

This is a national key project implemented with JGCS Consotium including JGC, GS, Chiyoda, SK & Technip.

The project has strict requirements for any qualified contractor, manpower and finance.

The project is a stepping stone for Hoa Hiep to reach a new height in the marketplace.
