Background

Tan Son Nhat Petroleum Trading Joint Stock Company (Tapetco) was established in February 2008, Tapetco started to build an aviation fueling system with an underground filling system at Tan Son Nhat airport. This system will significantly reduce the number of vehicles moving in the apron area, contributing to reducing the overload in the apron area.

The storage system in the area of Bach Dang Street consists of 3 tanks that can store 9,000 blocks of Jet A-1 oil. Along with that is the construction of an underground piping system to bring fuel into the apron area of the international terminal. There are 20 valve holes installed at 10 locations. With a specialized vehicle, workers only need to use the piping system to connect the valve mouth to the aircraft’s fuel tank mouth and press the button to easily and safely pump fuel.
